Theodore Roosevelt: Up Close
An Intimate Portrait of the Rough Rider
by Michael Cooper
Theodore Roosevelt was a man of contradictions. He was a Rough Rider who charged up San Juan Hill, and a Nobel Peace Prize winner. He was a conservationist who loved to hunt, and a trust-buster who fought for the common man. He was a Republican who admired Woodrow Wilson, and a Democrat who supported Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
