Prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey through one of history's darkest chapters. This Has Happened is a heart-wrenching yet ultimately uplifting memoir that recounts the extraordinary survival story of an Italian family amidst the horrors of Auschwitz.

As the clouds of war gathered over Europe, the Levi family found themselves caught in the crossfire of bigotry and persecution. From their idyllic home in Turin, they were forcibly deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau, a notorious concentration camp where human life was reduced to a mere commodity.

Amidst the unimaginable suffering and brutality, the Levi family clung to their love and determination. Primo Levi, the renowned author and Holocaust survivor, captures their experiences with raw honesty and unflinching clarity. Through his vivid prose, we witness the resilience of the human spirit even in the face of overwhelming adversity.

As the family members endure the unspeakable horrors of the camp, they find solace in their unwavering bonds. The love between husband and wife, parents and children, brothers and sisters sustained them through the darkest days. Their courage and determination to survive against all odds serve as a testament to the indomitable power of the human will.
