Hollywood Career

Gable's big break came in 1931, when he was cast in the film "Red Dust" with Jean Harlow. The film was a huge success, and Gable became a star overnight. He went on to star in a number of successful films, including "It Happened One Night" (1934),"Mutiny on the Bounty" (1935),and "Gone with the Wind" (1939). Gable was known for his rugged good looks and his charismatic personality. He was also a talented actor, and he was able to bring a sense of realism to his roles.

Personal Life

Gable was married five times. His first marriage was to Josephine Dillon in 1924. The marriage ended in divorce in 1930. Gable then married Maria Franklin in 1931. The marriage ended in divorce in 1939. Gable's third marriage was to Carole Lombard in 1939. Lombard died in a plane crash in 1942. Gable was devastated by her death, and he never remarried. Gable had one child, a son named John Clark Gable, who was born in 1930.

Legacy

Clark Gable died of a heart attack on November 16, 1960. He was 59 years old. Gable was one of the most iconic actors of all time. His films continue to be enjoyed by audiences today, and he is considered to be one of the greatest stars of Hollywood's Golden Age.
